For many years, HTDL has worked closely with Haldex, a leading global supplier of braking and air suspension systems for commercial vehicles. When Haldex launched its new EB+ 4.0 electronic braking system, the company required a comprehensive suite of installation and technical documentation to support OEM trailer manufacturers worldwide.
The EB+ 4.0 system represented a significant advancement in braking technology, requiring highly accurate technical documentation that could be easily understood by engineers, installers and service technicians across multiple international markets.
The project demanded more than traditional manual design. It required a deep understanding of complex braking systems, intricate component relationships and installation procedures, all communicated with absolute clarity and precision.
Working closely with Haldex's engineering and product teams, we immersed ourselves in the technical details of the new system. This collaborative approach enabled us to translate highly complex engineering concepts into clear, accessible visual communication.
Our team produced:
Detailed installation and service manuals
Technical illustrations and component diagrams
System layouts and wiring schematics
Product visualisations
CGI imagery created from CAD data
Technical animations demonstrating system functionality
By combining technical expertise with strong visual design principles, we created documentation that improved usability while maintaining complete technical accuracy.
Alongside the technical manuals, we developed high-quality CGI imagery and animations directly from supplied CAD files. These assets allowed Haldex to showcase the functionality and engineering quality of the EB+ 4.0 system in a visually engaging way, supporting both technical training and marketing activities.
The use of CGI enabled complex internal components and processes to be communicated far more effectively than traditional photography alone.
The successful delivery of the EB+ 4.0 documentation programme strengthened our long-standing relationship with Haldex and led to further technical communication projects being commissioned across their product portfolio.
The project demonstrates HTDL's ability to bridge the gap between complex engineering and clear communication, delivering technical content that is accurate, engaging and easy to understand for global audiences.
